Distillery
Authentico is made at the historic Tequilas del Señor in Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara, Jalisco. NOM 1124. Tequilas del Señor is one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in Mexico, and family-owned for 80 years. The distillery is also powered entirely by solar and natural gas.
Agave
Authentico is made with 100% USDA Organic certified agave. The brand uses a combination of mature, ripe agaves from the highlands and valley regions of Jalisco. All Authentico tequila is 100% blue weber agave.
Cooking
Agave piñas are steamed for 24 hours in a low pressure autoclave with a subsequent 24-hour resting period.
Extraction
Juices are gently squeezed by the oldest mill in the tequila industry. A 4-step trapiche roller mill built in the late 1800s extracts juices from cooked agave. Originally steam powered, it is now solar powered.
Fermentation
Tequila the way it used to taste! Authentico benefits from a proprietary Tequilas del Señor yeast strain used continuously since the 1940s, kept in special conditions to prevent contaminations or changes to the formula. Fermentation is five to six days in closed, stainless steel tanks.
Distillation
To maintain Authentico’s smooth and easy-to-drink flavor profile, a combination of stainless steel alambiques and column stills are used.
Ingredients

Reposado
Authentico Reposado takes the delicious blanco base and ages it in a blend of American and European oak barrels that have not previously been used to hold other types of spirits. Reposado is aged for six months (triple the required time) for richness and flavor, and then rested in steel for a subsequent two months before bottling.
Cristalino
Authentico’s Cristalino takes the reposado base and employs a natural filtration process to reduce the strength of the wood notes, and allow the fruity and floral elements to become the star.
Oxygenation
Before bottling, all Authentico tequilas are oxygenated to achieve the soft, easy-to-drink, no-burn flavor profile that makes Authentico perfect to drink neat, as a shot, or in a cocktail.
